  • The mathematics curriculum is oriented around the development of specific math functions and systematic reasoning skills as well as the development of confidence in and enjoyment of the subject.
     
  • Students in Grades K-6 receive between 40 and 60 minutes of mathematics instruction each day. Teachers use manipulatives, games and challenging problems in motivating their students.
     
  • Students in Grades 7-12 receive 45 minutes of mathematics instruction each day. Mathematics specialists teach these exposing our students to a high school level course in eighth grade and college level courses in high school.
     
  • This year our school is preparing Math Nights for the elementary school students, which will include games, puzzles and challenging questions for children at every level of ability.
     
  • Mathematics specialists at Providence Hebrew Day School are highly qualified and prepare our children to compete mathematically in a globally competitive society.
