Providence Hebrew Day
School has a tremendous commitment to the personal and academic growth
of all of its students, and its expectations for student achievement
and learning reflect that commitment. As such, the school has
established the following “student learning goals”:

- The student will display Midos (good manners) and Derech Eretz (proper respect), which are preambles to learning.
- The student will develop a love of Torah, Mitzvos (good deeds) and Israel.
- The student will display knowledge of the laws and customs of our rich Jewish heritage.
- The student will read and write Hebrew fluently.
- The student will participate with authority in all life cycle Jewish events.
- The student will display feelings of Chesed (kindness) and charity, giving both of time and resources.
- The student will develop a love and excitement for all learning in Torah and General Studies.

The student will develop an attitude of curiosity for learning and
critical thinking skills in Torah and General Studies.

The student will be given the skills and support to reach her or his
maximum potential in Torah and General Studies.
- The
student shall graduate with the core curriculum skills required for
entrance into the finest Yeshivos, Seminaries and the University of
choice.
- The student will have the academic and social skills to succeed in a globally competitive society.
